A contractor's company profile has one job: to survive prequalification. It is read by a procurement officer or a tender committee whose task is to reduce a long list to a short one, and who is looking for a reason to set yours aside.
That reader is not persuaded by a mission statement. They are checking whether your trade licence activity covers the work being tendered, whether you have completed something comparable, whether your approvals are current, and whether you will still be solvent at handover.
So the document is structured around those checks. The same information, in the order the reader looks for it, is the difference between a profile that gets you to the next round and one that gets skimmed.
Fixed prices, shown before you commit — nothing is charged up front.
The sections that matter for this sector, in the order the reader looks for them.
Trade licence number, issuing authority, the activities listed on the licence, year established and registered address — on an early page, not buried at the back. A committee that cannot confirm you are licensed for the work stops reading there.
Each project given its client, location, scope, contract value band where you are permitted to state it, duration and your role — main contractor, subcontractor, supplier. A wall of client logos proves nothing that a committee can verify.
Municipality and authority approvals, civil defence registration, ISO certifications and trade body memberships, each with its number and validity. Only what is genuinely held — an unverifiable claim on a tender document is worse than a gap.
A dedicated section, because most UAE prequalification forms ask for one. Policy statements, the person responsible, incident record keeping and any HSE certification. This is the section most SME contractor profiles leave out entirely.
What you own, what you hire, and how many people you can put on site by trade. Capacity is the question behind every tender: not whether you can do the work, but whether you can do it at this size, now.
Named site management with qualifications and years of experience. Tender committees read this to judge whether the company is a structure or a founder with a phone.
